BARNEY IS A 13-YEAR OLD, CHOW/PEKE MIX IN THE SHELTER BECAUSE HIS OWNER LANDED IN A HOSPITAL. THOUGH THE SHELTER HASN'T TAKEN BARNEY'S WEIGHT YET, HE'S APPARENTLY SOMETHING OF A SMALLER GUY AND THAT MAKES HIM A PERFECT COMPANION FOR ANY HOME. A SMILING, BRIGHT-EYED SENIOR GUY, BARNEY IS QUITE YOUTHFUL FOR HIS AGE.

From The ACC site: To help ensure successful adoptions, please fill out a pre-adoption application (http://www.nycacc.org/pdfs/adoptions/AdoptionApplication.pdf) and bring it with you when you come into the Care Center to adopt a pet. If you are coming from outside of the immediately area, it is strongly suggest that you first complete an application and email it to adoption @ nycacc.org -This will allow ACC to answer any questions and resolve any potential obstacles before you make the trip.
