I'm the original owner and purchaser of this Vintage HME Mixer/Preamp from the famous AST of New York, DJ equipment store in lower Manhattan. They sold high end Pro audio equipment to Club Owners and DJ's in the xxxx's. DJ's rushed AST to buy these MX99's, back when seven to nine hundred seemed high priced for a DJ mixer.
You'll own a single owner mixer that has a very clean sound (less than .03% THD) and works flawlessly. It has a powerful headphone amplifier so you can easily cue incoming tracks before you bring them in. The microphone input has a talkover switch to automatically lower the music, if you need to make anouncements, without your having to turn the music down.
Everything works, all faders are smooth and firm, not loose and there are no scratches or blemishes on the mixer! Just plug in your turntables, CDJs, ipods, mp3 players, microphone, etc. and you're good to go. It also has a signal processor loop for equalizers or effects and two outputs. It's 19 inch rack mountable and has handles on the front of each side so you can easily take it out of your console or equipment rack.
