Silly adorable amstaff Nala in danger@Brooklyn kill shelter in Brooklyn, New York For Sale

Date/Time:08 May, 05:19 p.m. EST
Type: Pets, For Sale - Private.

A volunteer writes: Nala is so beautiful in an unconventional way. When I first met her a few months ago, she weighed in at nearly 90 pounds. She is curvy and voluptuous and when you walk her through the halls of the care center, you really feel how big she is, as she pulls on the leash pretty hard. She has an adorable grey patch over her left eye, giving her a look of mystery. But there?s no mystery regarding this gal. Over the last few months she has become a volunteer favorite. To meet Nala is to love her! She is so sweet and attentive, silly when she plays with toys, and just a pleasure to be around. Her previous owner indicated that she is not friendly towards other dogs. Each time she meets a dog through the yard fence, (she?s met bigger dogs, smaller dogs, old dogs and puppies) she is always the first to do a play bow. She never shows any sort of aggression and though sometimes she does get quite fixated on the other dog it does seem to be in an inquisitive way. Having said that, a home without other dogs would be ideal for our lady. Nala?s previous owner also reports that she is housetrained, fine when left home alone, and enjoys the company of everyone, including children! Nala has been in our care since early February. She has seen Valentine?s Day and Easter come and go, and has lost quite a bit of the weight that made her so beautiful. At times she even seems depressed. Because even though we try to make Nala feel at home, the care center is not a substitute for the real thing. Come meet Nala and see if you can?t make your home hers!
