A shelter staff member writes: Indio was surrendered to BACC after nine years due to his owner's health issues. Indio is a mellow guy who, according to his previous owner, is playful, friendly with everyone he meets, and enjoys napping on his blanket! While I'm sure he's a bit shell-shocked, Indio has been a gentleman while in the shelter, and was tolerant of the other dogs in play group. He knows a few commands, showing off "give paw" during his evaluation, and has the cutest gray beard! Indio will fit in with just about any family willing to give him a loving retirement home. Please pull Indio from BACC today, and help him find a great place to live out his golden years!

From The ACC site: To help ensure successful adoptions, please fill out a pre-adoption application (http://www.nycacc.org/pdfs/adoptions/AdoptionApplication.pdf) and bring it with you when you come into the Care Center to adopt a pet. If you are coming from outside of the immediately area, it is strongly suggest that you first complete an application and email it to adoption @ nycacc.org -This will allow ACC to answer any questions and resolve any potential obstacles before you make the trip.
