Friendly gentle Randy- 4 yr old tan pittie in dangr@Brklyn kill sheltr in Brooklyn, New York For Sale

Poor Randy, surrendered because his caregivers are moving out of country & can not take Randy with tehm. Randy is a male, 4yr old brown, American Pit bull terrier. Randy was given to his owner as a gift 4 yrs ago. Social Life & Personality: Owner stated Randy lives with a 4 & 9 yr old, and plays gently with children. Randy enjoys when the children pet him. He does not get along with other dogs or cats. Owner stated Randy was raised with no other pets & is used to all the family's attention on him. When owner comes home Randy loves to follow him around and tries to get attention. He does not like to be left alone in home & may bark when owner leaves. Randy is kept mostly indoors & is fully house-trained. Randy is best described as playful, affectionate, & friendly. Behavior Issues: Randy does not react well towards other dogs or animals. Randy will lunge, growl & bark at other dogs & animals. Randy has never bitten anyone or another animal. Owner stated Randy does not become aggressive when food bowl is touched while eating or when toy is taken away. Randy also allows owner to give him a bath. For a New Family to Know: Randy knows a few commands, such as sit , shake/give paw & stay. He likes to go for brisk walks on leash and also enjoys occasionally running/jogging. Randy has not been crate-trained. Owner also stated Randy loves to give & receive hugs. Randy will run away if left off leash. He eats dry food & loves home cooked chicken or steak. Behavior during handling: Randy appeared to be very friendly & would jump up to get attention. Randy tolerated all handling.
